Hello there, my real name is not mentioned but my online alias is Jiro. The reason as to why I have chosen that name is because I'm literally obsessed with Jiro from Fahrenheit...kinda of freaky no? When describing my personality in reality, I would say that I'm quirky, easy going, sympathetic, sensitive and caring. At times I get over the top around people I'm comfortable with due to my outgoing nature. I'm definitely interested in designing websites as my career but my other major interests include figure skating, music (playing the piano), dancing, spending time with friends and family, art associated (computer graphics, photography and sketching), fashion and modeling.
Some interesting facts you may want to know is that my writing skill is designated on my left hand (which obviously makes me a lefty, go us cool kids.) My absolute favorite color in the whole wide world is blue; it doesn't matter which kind as long as it is blue. The first time I ever got passionate about anything would have to be when I first stepped on the ice. That was when I realized that my life had changed because my love for competitive figure skating had just begun.
Here are some things I would totally make a site for:
My interest in websites and graphic design first started during the year of 2003. I began to learn HTML coding to layouts from free sites such as Asian Avenue, Geocities, Xanga and Freewebs. I became addicted to learning how to make websites and after a while, I had figured out how to use Adobe Photoshop. All the skills were self taught as well as having help from tutorials on the web. After a while, my first blog site was formed and I named it Woshingshen, which means "I believe in God" in Chinese (This was obviously when I was super-Christian.)
During a short period of time I had my blog hosted free on Geocities but pretty soon I searched for a host that supported free hosting because I felt I had gained enough experience in becoming a hostee. Not much later, I fould a wonderful host, by the name of Kavy, who also had an interest in figure skating. Kavy was kind enough to host me through her domain, known as Amaltheia.Org. After a long period of steady blogging, Kavy decided to change her domain name to Figuristka.Org, which still runs to this very day. Much credit is given to her as she has helped me so much in hosting my blog, giving my tips and advice as a webmaster, solving unexpected problems on the web and of course being a great friend! Check out her blog sometimes!
Now, fast forward to the present, Quirkysebs.Net was puchased on October 2, 2006 and serves as one of my hobbies and activities during my free time because I enjoy web design so mcuh. Hosting was purchased from Surpass Hosting and this domain first opened on January 25, 2007. The name Quirkysebs was chosen because I wanted something to emulate or reflect my personality. "Quirky" is definitely part of my personality and "Sebs" was included because it is one of my nicknames my close friends call me.
The purpose in creating this domain remains simple. To shelter all of my online works such as fansites, fanlistings, and personal logs and to display my obsessions and interests through computer art and hypertext markup language.
If you need to contact me about anything (please no spam), you can email me at Sebsters@Quirkysebs.Net
Why is your name Jiro?
Because I don't want to show my real name and I'm obsessed with Jiro from the Taiwanese Boy Band Group named Fahrenheit.
What kind of name is "Quirkysebs"?
A complete abberation from all the other domain names you'll ever see or read.
Do you think you can host my website?
Um...I'm not sure about hosting right now but maybe in the near future!
Do you make or sell graphics such as layouts?
No, if I do make layouts it will probably be on a random occasion for someone that I know as a friend.
Are you able to give help such as HTML and Photoshop tutorials?
It depends. If you are seeking help, check out great HTML tutorial sites like Lissa Explains It All.
What is the biggest advice you give to web designers?
First of all, always be yourself and have your own asthetic. Do not conform with others by copying their design and layouts. However, it is ok to be inspired by something other designers on what they have done as long as it doesn't give off a vibe that you copied them. Also, always be color friendly to the eyes as well as balancing the amount of images and text. Always have at least one picture in one or two paragraphs of text in order to bring some excitement.
Name: this reunion is for you
Version: 01
Features: Final Fantasy Advent Children CS art and screencaps
Credits: Adobe Photoshop CS, Notepad (yes from scratch), Advent Children.Net for screencaps and images
Concept: I have been having a layout block for ages. However, this layout was the one that turned my bad streak of creating bland layouts into a start of something unique and strong. The colors I used include dark and light blues and also many other colors. And to top it all off, the images used from Final Fantasy Advent Children are absolutely glorious. The colors from this animated film certaintly compliments this layout and gives. The title, this reunion is for you, is actually a reunion for me in regaining my creative juice and a passion in designing something spectacular after a long period of blandfulness.
To best view this layout, it is preferred that the screen resolution be at 1280x1024 and using the Mozilla Firefox Browser.
